    Croyde is an extremely popular village on the west-facing coastline of North Devon which has become internationally renowned for its superb surfing beach, which has hosted numerous top ranking surfing competitions, and its spectacular scenery. The village is one of the West Country’s most popular areas with both families and surfers in which to live or holiday with its mix of picture postcard cottages nestling next to contemporary homes, as well as a good range of local shopping facilities and amenities.
    The dramatic headland of Baggy Point is a National Trust designated site of special scientific interest (SSSI) offering fabulous walks. The equally famous beaches of Putsborough, Saunton & Woolacombe being only a short distance away. The nearby larger village of Braunton provides a wide range of local amenities to include Post Office, health centre, three primary schools, senior school, pubs, restaurants, library and a range of shops.
    North Devon’s regional centre of Barnstaple is about 10 miles and houses the area’s main business commercial, entertainment and shopping venues. With a fabulous mix of Victorian & Georgian architecture along with an extensive range of both business & leisure facilities, banks & post office.     Directions
    From the centre of the village of Braunton, turn left onto the B3231 signed to Croyde. Continue for 4.7 miles, passing Saunton and round the headland into Croyde. Continue until you reach the centre of Croyde and take the left turn signed to Putsborough & Croyde Bay (Jones Hill), where the road bears sharply left in front of New Coast Kitchen. Proceed past the Seat garage and up the hill, taking the first turning into Moor Lane. Continue along this road until you reach the Croyde Surf Shop. Turn immediately right into Lane Head Close and continue up this road, passing the layby and following the road round to the left. This leads into Tom's field where you turn left proceeding to the very end of the road where Croyde House, number 5, will be found on the right hand side.
